In this Privacy Statement we (as defined by Terms and Conditions Article 1 'entrepreneur/consultant') explain what information we collect from you as a user of our website or as a Consumer of our services provided by the website, what we do with it and what rights you have as a user/consumer (as defined by Terms and Conditions Article 1 'Consumer'). The contents of this Privacy Statement may change from time to time. If changes are made, we will inform you about them. The last change to this Privacy Statement was on July 1, 2023.

What do we do with your personal data?

Entrepreneur uses personal data of the users

  • to enable the services it offers
  • to improve the performance of, among other things, and thus its services (for example, by making it better match your wishes)
  • to be able to process requests from users for information (e.g. requests to ask questions by mail)

What data do we store about you?

If you register for a podcast membership or do a booking for a consultation, we save your email address, date of birth (optional) and first name (optional) and last name. As long as you do not delete your membership account, we will keep the data of your account. The email messages that take place via the Website (www.tompkinchats.com) and the email history are treated confidentially by us and stored as such.

We store email history for a maximum of 12 weeks and use it to improve the service to the relevant user or for improvement in a general sense. For payments we use the payment services of Stripe and Visa. We do not include the details of your bank and the personal data linked to it in our system. User data is also collected by us via (disabled) cookies (such as browser type; IP address), by registering for a podcast membership and/or via direct mail contact with us. Every mail contains a link with which you can unsubscribe and also at the website at the membership login you can end your membership.

What about social media?

The social media buttons on this website are included to share pages via social media networks such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and Google. If you click on these buttons, your personal data will be processed by the relevant social media network. We advise you to read the privacy statements of these media networks in advance to see how these networks handle your personal data.

The GDPR and Security

Because we value your privacy, we adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We take organizational and technical measures to limit (possible) data leaks and cyber-attacks as much as possible. We work daily on the safety and reliability of email conversations, among other things. For example, we train our consultants, we use secure connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) that protect all information between you and our website when you enter personal data on our site, and we encrypt the data received from you in our system.

  • can see how we have processed your data
  • have the option to block your data for marketing, receiving a mail and historical analysis

If this consultation does not lead to a satisfactory outcome, you always have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority; the supervisory authority in the field of privacy.
